Hey man, it's understandable that you wouldn't know who I am, you joined just before I left the forums the first time. I was a Shoutbox moderator in 2010 and had worked my way up to Appellate/Global Mod when I resigned in October 2013, so I was apart of the staff team for 3 years straight. I'm a Respected Member and also a Veteran.
I'm not an active poster, but I never really have been, most people that are familiar with me now know me from years ago or from the Shoutbox.

He wasn't saying it in that sense. He made that point because we were expecting someone currently active to get the position and not someone that hasn't posted for the past 4 years. Sure he had staff positions in the past, but was there no (current) active users that deserved it more than him?

Posting is just one way to be active, Josh is more of a shoutbox and observer person and we trust his previous positive experience to be useful again

and not someone that hasn't posted for the past 4 years.

Posting habits don't make somebody moderator material, and you can't see what he reports/does in the private with the moderators.

He is quite active on the forum to be fair, maybe not posting or making threads, but that's not what activity is based on to be fair.
Haven't known Josh for a long time few months i'd say and he's a decent fella i'm sure he'll do a good job as i've heard he has done in the past

Not sure on the correlation between the ability to post threads and the ability to moderate a forum.
