Welcome to PVP Hero, an upcoming battleground where players are invited to test themselves and their skills against one another! Meticulously crafted within an entirely, uniquely customized and modified iteration of the infamous Varrock LMS map, this upcoming project puts its primary focus on encouraging and rewarding as much player vs player content as possible. PVP Hero will feature a multitude of exciting and challenging world events for players to experience and overcome, a unique approach to skilling to keep members invested and on their toes, an economic system to promote and reward as much player vs player interaction as possible, and a large variety of features with the intent of pushing and rewarding those brave enough to risk it all!

Throughout this thread we will outline what to expect as we continue to develop our project, sharing media and progression throughout posts as we proceed. We're also actively inviting members to join our Discord to be further informed, contribute to feedback and our development process, and involve themselves within our growing community.

The following section will outline some of the features found within PVP Hero! As we're still in the process of finalizing a lot of the content and system without our project, a lot of the content found within this section may be subject to change. Although the overviews provide a generalized breakdown of what to expect, please click the "Show" button beneath for a drop-down that goes a little more into specifics.

Custom Battlegrounds - In other words, we've completely redesigned the world map, utilizing the Varrock LMS map as a starting point. Following substantial modification, this new design will serve as the overworld in housing numerous areas for activities such as skilling, bosses, events, and custom designed Points of Interest for members to explore. Additionally, due to the nature of our approach in designing and reforming this world, we're able to further expand upon it, introducing new areas as the project grows.

Reactive Ambient Wildlife - In an effort to spruce up the world, we've introduced mechanics that will react to player engagement, such as birds that will scatter in an opposite direction of the player (potentially alerting other players to their presence). We'll continue to expand upon this idea as the project progresses.

New Dungeons - Alongside modifying the traditional dungeons to bring them a little more in line with our project identity, we've also custom designed new dungeons to challenge members with their unique mechanics. Within these dungeons also lies never before seen threats, so trek at your risk!

World Events - On a randomized schedule, unique world events will serve to bring members to work together, or pit them all against one another, to accomplish unique goals with incredible rewards! As shown in the media previews, we currently have the Zombie Pirate Captain event and the Supply Cache event. We've several more already planned, so stay tuned!

Full Skilling - Skilling has been entirely revamped within the PVP Hero world, with intent to make it both more a little closer in line with our identity, as well as dramatically increase both the risk and reward of the activities! Each skill has been given new methods of training as means to generate blood money; having introduced a multitude of new resources and mechanics in order to achieve this goal.

Reworked Encounters - Although PvE within this project isn't the primary focus, we refuse to lower the standard of quality in that regard. In an attempt to reinvigorate traditional grinds, such as the Barrows Brothers, we've completely redone the mechanics on several of the ol' familiar encounters, adding such things as challenge mechanics, unique special attacks, and other expansions to their identities.

Full Raids - All 3 of the major raids, including Chambers of Xeric, Tombs of Amascut, and Theatre of Blood, have been fully implemented. We'll be looking to discuss potential custom modifications to these major pieces of content with the community at a later time.

World Bosses - All traditional bosses found within the original Wilderness have been relocated and implemented into the new overworld.

Quick Traveling - In order to alleviate a little bit of the strain in navigating the newly created vast overworld, we've introduced several methods for players to quickly traverse around the map, including the renown teleport obelisks, and introducing a new ship traveling mechanic.

Supported Gambling - What world would we live in if there wasn't the ever looming dark temptation to risk it all? PVP Hero will feature several gambling methods, including a customized roulette system, slots, and an automated flower poker system that allows for players to challenge one another or one of the various NPCs found in the dark gambling den.

Tasks and Achievements - The world of PVP Hero will feature numerous tasks and achievements that will act to encourage members to venture into various activities, posing various challenges and meeting their completion with rewards! These Tasks and Achievements will also server as the unlock route for different titles and accolades.

Integrated Hiscores - Although we'll be hosting a full display of Hiscores on our official website, we figured with the competitive nature of a PVP environment, what better way to further fuel the fire than to also incorporate them ingame. We'll be designing an interface to serve as a leaderboard so members can track how they compare against the very best! Additionally, with the usage of ingame models, we'll be hanging banners to honor those who've proven themselves worthy.

Unique Currency Integration - Although gold pieces will forever hold nostalgic value with osrs players, they're a bit too far away from what we're trying to achieve as an identity! The primary currency within PVP Hero will be Bloody Money!

Customized Presets - With the intent of streamlining wilderness access, we've modified our pre-existing preset interface to include a set number of free presets for members to select from to quickly gear up and get in on the action! Come time, members will be able to override or delete these presets to make room for their own.

Integrated Voting - Much like the Hiscores, Voting will be fully available and supported through the website, however we've designed a custom method for members to be able to vote ingame as well, making the process much easier to knock off as a daily task and reap the rewards that come with!

Wilderness Combat Zones - This one's been a bit of a head scratcher for us for some time during the development of the project. We've been attempting our very best to draw the lines on different zones without our overworld to intuitively accommodate all kinds of action, multi and singles+ alike.
