If you are interested in a highly configurable RSC private server source that by default is authentic but can enable all sorts of custom things, check out Open RSC.
https://gitlab.openrsc.com/open-rsc/game

There is a single player version that comes with everything pre-compiled as well:
https://gitlab.openrsc.com/open-rsc/single-player

Feel free to keep in touch in our Discord: https://discord.gg/94vVKND

Open RSC is based on RSC Legacy's source that Moody released.

ORSC server source evolution:
RSC Daemon v25 -> RSC Angel -> DarkQuest -> RSC Revolution -> RSC Legacy -> Open RSC v2

This is an open source development project and anyone is welcome to fork the code and do what they want with it. Feel free to submit issues and pull requests!

All of the code is on GitLab / GitHub and we would love more developers! If you run into issues, check out our Discord.

Here are some in-game pictures for OpenRSC. Hopefully this helps encourage people to check out the project. It's 100% open source and configurable, as well as being frequently updated by the OpenRSC community. The discord server is very active, with players, staff, and volunteers/contributors alike.

This is without a doubt the absolute best open source rsc project at the moment, and is extremely easy to setup and get running. All you need is an IDE; no ant; no overly difficult building, just an IDE! I encourage hosts and rsc fans alike to grab a copy and maybe join the discord and say hi!
There is a single player version of OpenRSC as well, for those who just want to play offline.
