Ivory was first built in December of 2020 and has been added to little-by-little since. Most of the parts were purchased new from Micro Center but the 5600X and RTX 3070 were purchased from a friend for retail. I consider myself incredibly lucky to have gotten an RTX 3070 for retail - especially before the retail price jumped in the last few months. This build is paired with a set of 1440p 144hz monitors, which the RTX 3070 does fairly well with.
In closing: fuck scalpers, fuck tariffs, and fuck COVID. May you all find computer parts for retail.
