Anyone blow a 3090 playing New World?

Apparently there's reports of peoples EVGA 3090 Super/Ultras bricking after playing or changing setting in Amazon's new MMO New World. I wanna play it, but I have a EVGA 2080 FTW3 Super and kind of don't want to throw $800 GPU in the dumpster..... Any have anything happen or using a similar card?
