A Sense of Maturity...

Hello,

Well... I was thinking about how I think Rune-Server could use a little "boost" per-say. So I came up with the idea of an 18+ Section. Instantly, I'm sure most of you already have the assumption I'm just talking about pornography. (Yes, that would be included) But that's not the only point!!

Section Rules would pertain to Rune-Server guidelines, but, obviously with some leniency. Such as:

1. The use of profanity is allowed. (Abuse will result in removal from the section and an infraction) [ASCII still not permitted]
2. "Flaming" is not accounted in this section unless it's taken to an extreme. (A moderator with common sense should be able to tell the difference)
3. Child pornography will NOT be tolerated. Posting of this will result in a serious punishment. (This includes one of the little girls you creep on Facebook)
4. Information shared from the section to outside members is not allowed. (Links, pictures, videos, etc.)
5. Phishing/Malicious websites will get you in serious trouble. All links must be certified by a URL checker.
6. Use of another language, other than EN (US) & EN (UK) is permitted.

What the section should break up into:

• Adult Only (18+)
  • Pornography
    • Amateur
    • Porn Stars
    • Fetish/Bondage/More
    • Website Passwords
    • Sexual Experiences/Stories
  • The Tea Party
    • Law & Policy
    • Current Events
    • Music
    • Firearms
    • Food
  • Within the Mind
    • Psychoactives
    • Experiences/Stories
    • Awareness

I have thought of one problem, which would be the attraction of users to the site for solely this purpose. So in order to keep it to users that are actually mature enough without having them just change their birthday is to make the Forum private (such as the usergroups sections) and have one (or all) of the following:

• One/Two Moderators to manage users they believe are mature enough to enter.
• A group nomination inside of the 18+ section with a 70% "Yes" vote
• A minimum post count of 300 (or higher)

**Note** This is just a quick thing I came up with in my head. I tried to think about as many factors as possible in the ten minutes I had before class

Although people can easily lie about their age in the registration.

Should be called the "adult" section rather than 18+. There are plenty of 16 year olds that can deal with the section with maturity, and there are plenty of 18+s who can't.

If you guys actually READ my post, I never said the age of the profile mattered. It's also not up to me, just a suggestion. If Arvin, AJ, or Kevin were interested I would obviously support more detailed ideas.

Yeah the Adult section could work too. Like I said, was just a quickie before my class
