Thread: Neox

Welcome to Neox! We are an economy-style current OSRS revision project built by a passionate, highly experienced team. Leveraging thousands of hours of play time across all versions of the game, as well as years of experience developing servers, our developers have crafted a unique experience full of polished content that we can't wait to enjoy alongside you.

With our broad range of content and hand-crafted task and achievement system, which currently features over 800 unique tasks and over 50 achievements (and is ever expanding), we're sure everyone will find something to enjoy. It's not just about having a lot of content, however: we've also focused on quality. Leveraging our thousands of hours of play time has allowed us to identify and address many common pain points among players. For example, have you ever been annoyed by having to click so much when pickpocketing NPCs? In Neox, pickpocketing can be repeated automatically, so you can sit back and relax while the XP and loot gains come in; fishing, woodcutting, mining, and other resource-gathering activities are also made much better and efficient by our uniquely designed resource bag item which carries stacks of items, allowing you to stay skilling for longer periods of time.

If you're looking for more action-packed gameplay, the Wilderness has received special attention, featuring special new content like the reworked bosses, with instances which can be invaded, and a new high-risk, high-reward emblem system that's beneficial to PvMers, PKers and skillers alike: charge your emblem by performing activities in the Wilderness, receiving increasingly powerful passive benefits, then turn it in to receive a blood money reward. For PKers, this means anyone in the Wilderness is a potentially rewarding target to take down.

Finally, we are committed to developing and supporting Neox in the long term: we're already great, and we'll keep getting better. The following Features list will include what we believe are the most interesting points regarding our server. We're still very much under heavy development, however have managed to introduce and implement a ton of custom and unique systems alongside the traditional experience of the game that we're quite proud of. The media attachments for these specific highlights will be found within the Media category of this project thread!

• Task and Achievements System - Currently featuring 800+ unique tasks to the game, requiring different actions all throughout the world, each with varying rewards that can influence other unique systems; we're aiming to release with over 1000.
• Custom Resource Bag - A system allowing for a much more relaxed skilling experience.
• Fully customized and unique bonus experience system.
• Title system with custom interface and unlock systems.
• Unique Wilderness Emblem - Grants unique benefits to skillers and PvMers, and provides valuable targets for PKers.
• Wilderness Boss Instance System - Allowing PvMers to always have access to the bosses while PKers can invade these instances at random.
• All Functioning Skills (aside from Construction, which we'll be looking to implement post launch).
• All Bosses - This includes God Wars, Vorkath, Revenant Maledictus, and all reworked wilderness bosses.
• Fully functioning Chambers of Xeric - We'll be looking to add the others at a later time.
• Selectable Account Difficulty - Different experience rates for different playstyles; chosen difficulties are reflected through numerous ingame recognitions and hiscore listings.
• Fully implemented Ironman Account selections - All of which include ingame recognitions and hiscore listings.
• Personalized Accounts and Hiscores Pages - Including activity feeds, progression maps, and milestones; hiscores track a large variety on ingame activities including bosses, login streaks, voting, cluescrolls, wilderness activity, and collection log.
• Custom Home - We designed our home based on allowing as much ambient activity to happen as possible while covering early skilling progression.
• Integrated Runelite Plugins - We've begun adapating and integrating the default Runelite plugins to function within our server (such as the hiscore searching).

Knowledge Base

Currently, we've slowly been creating Knowledge Base articles for each of the custom systems within Neox. It is our goal that by release, we will have a page complete for each of the unique systems within Neox, alongside any additional pages we believe might be necessary (such as our own quest guides). Knowledge Base articles are all hyperlinked within the Discord, slowly being integrated into their correlating interfaces throughout the game, and are also accessible through the same portal as our Developer Updates:

Wilderness Emblem Mining

Skilling within the wilderness will generate charge for the wilderness emblem, causing it to level up and provide higher tiers of benefits.


Custom Title Interface

Custom title interface; titles are unlocked through completing unique tasks and achievements, or through alternative cosmetic unlocks such as title scrolls.


Shop Interface

Custom shop interface; ported from the OSRS BH update and repurposed with fully functioning category select and search functionality.


Resource Bag Fishing

Skilling is complemented by a unique skilling resource bag that can be upgraded in storage through completing different tasks and achievements.

Custom Voting Interface

The custom voting interface features fully functioning timers, responsive voting cells, and a live updating leaderboard.

Challenge Interface and System

Challenge interface features task listing, timers, and the ability to reroll your tasks.

Custom Teleport Navigation

Custom teleport navigation allows for players to quickly navigate to various regions throughout Neox and store their favorites.


Sigmund (General Merchant) and Grand Exchange Implementation

Sigmund will act as a general vendor for players who'll list all items sold to him on the Grand Exchange.


Custom Donation Shop Interface

Donation shop interface features a variety of item categories, listing options, and allows for quick navigation for topping up on credits.

Custom Runelite Plugin - Resource Bag Viewer

Custom written, fully configurable Runelite plugin that allows members to view the contents of their Resource Bag without having to interrupt their actions.

Mystery Box

Mystery Box donation system houses several unique server systems include bonus experience, custom skilling items, Neox dust, and bonus experience.

Custom Pet Interface

A unique interface for managing the player's acquired pets. Pets are unlocked through tasks, drops, and the donation shop.

Bonus Experience Lamp Interface

A custom interface for player selection of our bonus experience system!

Runelite Integrated Hiscore Listings

We've begun repurposing Runelite to work for our ingame content including player stats, boss counts, and achievement progression.
