well i can tell you there is a full tutorial on this somehwere on these forums, pretty sure i've seen it before.

Be sure to set the Gradle JVM to 1.8, CTRL + ALT + S, Build, Execution, Deployment > Build Tools > Gradle > Gradle JVM > Select 1.8

Also CTRL + ALT + SHIFT + S, set the Project SDK to 1.8 under Project
